Tail Light Options

So, I hate the tail light on my bike. It's disgusting. I have found a few options on ebay and the web.

I thought that this was an interesting tail light that may fit the Vmax. Anyone ever try it?

I would like to modify it to look like this one, below. I often see another tail light on ebay that looks just like this one but is a little bit cheaper from "the hub". Not sure but it looks like they are bending the inner fender and mounting the new tail light to it.

Here's mine. It's the M/C mods one. SUPER easy to install and looks and works great.

Just got popped Sunday for the new Florida "horizontal" license plate law. ( well, I was stopped and warned, deputy said it was a 1,000 dollar fine) I have the vertical license plate holder that mounts on the axle and has the LED stop and illumination lights. I am now looking for an axle set up in horizontal. A co worker set me up with a Dennis Kirk that I may be able to modify. Anyone else running a similar set up? :confused2::damn angry:

Glad you just got the warning. I always thought lisence plate rotation laws were bullshit, I went rounds with my Sgt. about them. He loved them cause it gave him another excuse to pull somthing over. But its another state revenue generator for some states.

Gets me thinking though, What if the bike was made that way? would it be grandfathered in? My chopper came from Daytona Custom Works and that was the plate bracket they put on it.

I have the motorcyclemods one too, and I couldnt be more pleased.

I think it looks great. and it was quite simple.

Hey KJ is that a big number plate or is it the angle of the photo that makes it look that way? What are the measurements of that license plate?

Here's a pic of Lankee's reflector conversion, it's a quality unit, plug & play and looks great IMO. The under fender LED is from Exactrep. Please ignore the orange 'lollipops' they are now clear lenses, and a little less obvious!:biglaugh:

It's just the angle. Up here MC plates are 4"x7"

I have the one that is the 4th one down on your list. Very good quality. I have to very tough too. I say this because I got hit in the rear and the bike was wedged on the car bumper between the bike tire and the lisence plate frame assy straightened out and resoilder wires Frame does not have a scratch on it.

no it doesn't steeler, but u can get those black LED license plate lites off of ebay which will solve that issue.

+1 to Garrett's comment, no dedicated white light for plate. Here is a couple pics I took with no lights on in basement but tail light lit.

How do you power the plate lite? Do I run a lead direct to the battery?

4.) Chrome scoops
5.) SS Brake lines
6.) Tail light (as of today)
7.) Knee Brace (never came in the mail - but paid 100 bones for it)
8.) Fork brace

Gotta love the sport eh? It all adds up

Yeah one winter I spent 5500 bucks on mine... Hell this last summer I spent 2500 on it getting it back together after a pitifully slow off... :damn angry:

These things cost a fortune.

I have 3700 or so miles on mine I think... It's an '06.
