Today I noticed that my rotors were not one piece parts but rather divided into three parts. I added a picture of a rotor found in Ebay. Initially, I thought that my rear rotor was cracked but then I noticed in Ebay that most or probably all OEM are like that. Why? Any comments?

I have a line on a couple of well priced front rotors from an '01 yamaha R6. Will they bolt on to my stock '85 Max front wheel? I'm pretty sure they will, but would like some confirmation. 300mm-diameter rotors Will 300mm-diameter rotors work with the 93-07 front calipers? How 'bout with R1/R6 calipers? Is there any benefit or detriment compared to the 298mm-diametered?

I want to upgrade my front brakes to 4 piston calipers or even the R1 with the 93> rotors though I've just bought brand new master cylinders. Will the existing 1988 master cylinder be OK to use with the 4 pot calipers, or the R1 calipers or would I have to change the master cylinder too??

It's been almost a week since I've bought anything for my bike and I'm thinking about grabbing a set of these for the front and rear. I've read the "what pads" to use thread so I'm covered there. Anyone using these? waste of money performance wise and strickly bling factor? :eusa_dance:
